046: Practicing Natural Self Care
Self care: we see it everywhere nowadays. From body scrubs to face masks, retail therapy to meditation- there are so many different forms of self care out there to help you feel rejuvenated and recharged from the stressors of daily life. But, so much "self care" these days is being equivalated to buying this and that, and in turn, buying into the societal norm of materialism... what if I told you, it could be so much simpler than that? That you didn't need to buy specific products in order to feel like you're taking care of yourself and "treating yourself?" While there's nothing wrong with those things, there is a HUGE correlation between nature and our mental health. Getting out in nature- getting sunlight and fresh air- has been scientifically proven to boost our mood, and lower rates of things like anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. What if the self care we needed, was right in front of us all along? Listen to hear 6 ways to practice natural self care that is both eco-friendly, and a huge boost for your mental health.
