35: Is Donating Clothes Sustainable?

Published on: 2nd March, 2021

When you donate a bag of clothes to the thrift store, usually once it's out of sight, it's out of mind. But... what would you say if I told you that some clothes you donate may not end up where you think they would (on the shelves of the thrift store)? Over the past recent years, light has been shed on this issue, and the sad reality is that many secondhand clothes that are donated actually get thrown away or exported overseas.

Listen to hear why that's an issue- and what you can do to ensure you donate both responsibly and sustainably!
